Registration
Only current Spring Arbor University students may register online for SAUonline courses. All others please go to the Admissions tab on the left hand navigation bar. By registering for classes at Spring Arbor University, you accept responsibility for reading and conforming to all policies, procedures, required dates, fees and other requirements published in the University catalogs, the class schedule book and Student Handbooks. Refer to the Spring Arbor University catalogs for more detailed information regarding University policies and guidelines. Since online registration does not require an advisor’s signature, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the courses are appropriate to the program of study. To receive a copy of the University campus class schedule, students may stop by the Registration and Records Office on the lower level of the Kresge Student Center. Mailing requests may be made by calling (517) 750-6516. Allow 10 days for delivery. Registering For Online Courses To register for a course, click on the Continue button at the bottom of this page. You will need an SAU student ID #, an SAU username and password (click here and follow instructions to create one), an SAU WebMail address, and access to the Internet to participate in these classes. If you experience technical difficulties while filling in the the registration form, please contact the Help Desk. For confirmation of registration, click the "Show Schedule" button located on the registration screen and print a copy of your schedule. To maintain your student status once you have enrolled for a course, tuition must be paid by the end of the 1st day of the official start of the session. Students who do not pay for the course by the 1st day of the session will be blocked from their course on the 1st day of the session and dropped on the 7th day of the session. Students who do not initiate the drop process and are dropped administratively due to non-payment will be assessed a $100.00 fee. If you choose to drop an online course, you must drop the course through the website or by contacting the appropriate representative: Amanda Leja aleja@arbor.edu for undergraduate courses or Terry McClintic terrym@arbor.edu for graduate courses. Withdrawing From An Individual Class Withdrawing from a course with 100% tuition reimbursement is available through the 5th day after the start of the session. Notifying your online instructor of your intention to drop does not qualify as an official drop request. After the 5th day of the session, students have until midpoint in the course to drop for a withdrawal. Withdrawal results in a “W” on your academic record and results in a prorated refund on tuition. Dropping a course after the withdrawal period deadline will result in a “U” on your academic record and no tuition refund. Withdrawal deadlines will vary based on the number of credit hours in the course. Students who do not participate in a course will be dropped on the 8th day of the session. A student who attends* an online course but submits no coursework, will be withdrawn from the course upon the discretion of an SAUonline Administrator. The tuition refund will be based on the date of the withdrawal. * Attendance in an online course is based upon electronic records of student presence in an online course.
